The Shanghai Stock Exchange Hosted a Lecture at Our School

On the afternoon of September 21, 2023, the Shanghai Stock Exchange hosted a lecture on Exchange Traded Funds (ETF). The lecture was delivered by Tang Kai, a manager from the Shanghai Stock Exchange. It was attended by Deputy Dean Chen Jinliang from the Business School, Zhang Guangli, Head of the Department of Finance and Financial Management, and over 50 graduate and undergraduate students. The event was chaired by Professor Gao Yongling from the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management.

The lecture was divided into two sections: the first section covered the concept of ETFs, their detailed features, investment strategies, asset allocation, and more. The second section introduced the third “Shanghai Stock Exchange Cup” National College ETF Elite Selection Competition, including an overview of the competition, its schedule, registration methods, and other details. Following the presentation, the students participated in a lively discussion about the lecture topic.
